Children: Jennifer, Daniel II; Grand Children: Christopher, Isabella, Annalise
Parish: St. William of York

We met while we were both on Active Duty in South Carolina and have traveled through a few states during our twenty-plus years of military service. Our last assignment was at the Pentagon and we've remained residents of Virginia. Dan works as a contractor supporting the US Marine Corps on various contracts.

Rafael and Mary Alice Goldsmith

Children: 5 children and 12 grandchildren (plus 3 in heaven).
Parish: All Saints Parish in Manassas, VA.

Mary Alice grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and Rafael in Panama City, Panama. After high school they met in Pocahontas, Arkansas in the musical group Up With People and shortly after they got married and spent 20 years in the Air Force. They have 5 chlldren and 12 grandchildren (plus 3 in heaven). They are members of the Contermporary Choir at All Saints Parish in Manassas, Virginia.

Jim and Fran Van deVoorde

Children: Luke, Peter, Sister Alison SHM, Beth, Grace, Jude and Marcelle
Parish: All Saints, Manassas, VA

Jim and Fran were raised in southern California, met in college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and were married in 1983. After serving around the world as a Naval Officer in the Civil Engineer Corps for 20 years, Jim retired from the Navy in 2003 and they settled in Manassas. Jim owns his own facilities management consulting firm, Potomac Facility Consulting, LLC, which supports federal and commercial clients in the DC Metro area as well as overseas.

They have attended All Saints Parish since 2003. In past years, Jim and Fran have taught CCD, Conference for Engaged and Natural Family Planning. Jim is currently a Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and conducts services at the Manassas Jail. Fran is a sacristan and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at All Saints. She also teaches at Renaissance Montessori School in Manassas.

Michael and Ghada Touma

Children: Amanda (16), Charbel (14, and Peter (10).
Parish: Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Washington, DC.

Michael and Ghada Touma were both born in small villages in Lebanon to Maronite Catholic families. Ghada was born in Tyre, one of the cities visited by Jesus. Michael, one of 7 kids, immigrated to the USA in 1986 with his family due to civil war and in pursuit of a peaceful life and land. Michael completed college at Western Connecticut State University 1990 and has since been working at IBM as a Management Consultant. Michael and Ghada met in Lebanon in 1993 and married in April 1994. Michael and Ghada have 3 kids Amanda (16), Charbel (14) named after Lebanese Saint Charbel and Peter (10). The Touma family lives in rural Catharpin VA and are parishoners of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, DC. The Touma boys are active members of the Conquest Boys Club at Holy Trinity Gainesville, a program run by the Legionaires of Christ. Michael was recently ordained into the Minor Order of SubDeacon for the Maronite Eparchy of St Maroun, Brooklyn, NY.
